Bay Towage & Salvage Co. Ltd. is an independent company with over 30 years experience providing workboat support vessels to the marine construction and dredging industries.

We are based at Barrow-in-Furness docks on the English West coast. We have workshop and office facilities for our tugs/workboat craft and smaller workboats and operate both around the UK and Ireland.

We are licensed Boatmen and Ropers and carry out towage and miscellaneous duties within the Port of Barrow.

Bay Towage has a well maintained & diversified fleet which we continue to improve and refit. All our vessels are MCA coded for UK & Ireland operations and are insured with Sunderland Marine Mutual and work in accordance with MCA recommendations and relevant European standards.

Vessels are supplied with our own experienced, dedicated professional crew. All skippers have a RYA Offshore Skipper Certificate of Service – Commercially Endorsed. All personnel are experienced in the use of Microfix, Differential GPS, Lasertrack and Hifix positioning systems and also the Atlas Echo sounding systems.

We have a solid reputation for our quality of service and our willingness to go that little bit further to ensure that all our clients are completely satisfied. We are accredited by the Quality Guild and are members of Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Businesses & the National Workboat Association.
